FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Plant-powered answers for the curious and conscious.
Are your products natural?
Yes. We prioritize whole, unrefined, and plant-based ingredients in all of our formulations. Our infusions are made in-house with care, and we never use synthetic fragrance, artificial dyes, or unnecessary fillers.
What’s the shelf life of your products?
Most products are made fresh in small batches and have a shelf life of 6–12 months, depending on storage. Our anhydrous (water-free) formulas are especially stable when kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The Miron Glass that the products are stored in promote a longer shelf-life.
For best results and so the products last longer, avoid contaminating the jars with water and use clean hands or a spatula and store your products like you would a favorite tea or herbal tincture—with reverence.
Do you use preservatives?
Our waterless products (like the Vanilla Citrus + Bakuchiol Butter) do not require preservatives. If and when we release products containing water, we will use broad-spectrum, ECOCERT-approved preservatives to ensure safety and stability without compromising botanical integrity.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
We formulate with gentle, soothing botanicals and avoid common irritants like synthetic fragrance, but everyone's skin is unique. If you're unsure, we always recommend a patch test before full use—especially if you have reactive or highly sensitive skin.
What skin types are your products best for?
Our line is designed to be versatile and nourishing for most skin types. Many find our products especially supportive for:
- Dry or depleted skin
- Mature skin
- Sensitive or redness-prone skin

Are your products vegan?
Our formulations are 100% vegan, and all are cruelty-free. Formulation is a form of stewardship to us; we don't want to support suppliers that don't care about animal well-being or the natural landscape.
Do you test on animals?
Absolutely not. Wildflower Uprising is a cruelty-free brand. We test our products only on willing humans (ourselves), never animals.
Do you make medical claims?
No. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. While we celebrate the traditional uses of herbs, we comply with FDA and FTC guidelines by not making drug claims. We encourage you to see skincare as a ritual of support, not a solution for pathology.
How are your products made?
Each product is handcrafted in small batches, using time-honored herbal techniques. Infusions often take weeks to prepare, allowing the plants to release their full properties into the oils we use. Our focus is on slow beauty—formulas with depth, care, and purpose.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source organic, wildcrafted, and ethically grown ingredients from a small network of trusted suppliers. Whenever possible, we use domestic or regional botanicals to reduce our footprint and increase freshness.
Transparency is important to us. Ask us about any ingredient and we’ll happily share its story.
Do you offer wholesale or custom formulations?
At this time, we are focused on small-batch direct-to-customer offerings. If you're an aligned practitioner or boutique interested in collaboration, feel free to get in touch.
Can I use your products while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Many of our ingredients are safe for general use, but not all herbs have been tested for use during pregnancy or lactation. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before introducing any new skincare product during this time.
Do you accept returns or offer refunds?
Due to the nature of our handcrafted skincare, we do not accept returns. However, if you experience an issue with your order, please contact us—we want you to love your experience and will always try to make things right.
